Scientists from National Key Laboratory of Digital Control and System Engineering have manufactured this product for the national science and technology project “Research on designing, manufacturing and testing the artificial total hip joint” (code KC03.24/11-15).

This product, which has been manufactured from titanium alloy and biological polymer materials, has appropriate dimensions for Vietnamese; fulfils requirements with mechanical tests under international standards including: ISO 7206-10, ASTM F1820, ASTM F1044, ASTM F1147, ASTM F1978; ensures the technical requirements as prescribed by ASTM F2033 standard; has the wear in the range of KHTP worn trial results announced by manufacturers; has a testing process in accordance with ISO 14242.

This product is expected to contribute to reducing the cost of replacing the hip joint (estimated by 50%) and importing (about 1.000 billion/year); create good conditions for low-income people to be able to have chances of hip joint replacement and rehabilitation, bring joy of life for patients, help to reduce the social burden.
