On August 8, 2017, BKAV held the Bphone 2017 Launch in Hanoi to introduce their new smartphone with many new features compared to the Bphone 1 launched in 2015.
Specifically, Bphone 2017 is equipped by a monolithic aluminum casing, four softly-curved corners, and a 5.5-inch screen with full HD resolution. This smartphone runs on the Android-based BOS operating system and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chip, is integrated with the multi-threaded charging technology Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0, supports 2 sim cards with 4G LTE connectivity, and is water-resistant.
The camera is built with the AI technology developed by BKAV, including 8-megapixel front camera (autofocus), 16-megapixel back camera (phase shift) with optical anti-shake technology, giving 4K video recording quality.
According to the BKAV representative, the Bphone 2017 is available in two versions (in addition to the standard version using the midrange Snapdragon 625 chip, BKAV also introduces the Gold version with a Snapdragon 835 chip configuration, a dual camera), where the Gold version will not be sold in Vietnam but will appear in the international market when BKAV finds suitable business partners.
Bphone 2017 is officially sold in Vietnam from August 19, 2017 at the price of 9,789,000 VND (nearly 431 USD). However, customers can subscribe right now from the stores system of The Gioi Di Dong to own this new Vietnamese-built smartphone.
