Recently, scientists from the MienTrung Institute for Scientific Research (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology) have succeeded in researching and producing microbiological preparations and chitosan preparations to control quick and slow wilt diseases in pepper plants (disease incidence decreases by ≥ 70%), while increasing the productivity by over 15%.
Applied in Quang Tri province and the Central Highlands, microbiological preparations and chitosan preparations have exhibited an increase in profitability around 82-90 million VND/ha compared with the application of manure only, as well as an increase in the rate of return by 1.5-2.7 times.
