Recognizing the importance of unmanned aerial vehicles, engineers from the Center for Manpower Supply (Vietnam National University of Agriculture) have successfully developed and manufactured the ultra-light drone applied in high-tech agriculture.
The outstanding advantages of this device include its ability to spray pesticides, sow, fertilise, monitor diseases, do topographic surveys, etc for a variety of crops in different terrains. Due to these advantages, the device brings higher economic efficiency in agricultural production due to the reduction of labour cost, saving of insecticides by 30-40%; it also ensures farmers' health and safety when spraying insecticides, mitigating soil and water pollution. Test results have shown that it is easy to control, maintain, replace, and repair the device.
