Through the implementation of a national project, scientists from the Vietnam National University of Agriculture have successfully built a system of machines for the synchronized mechanization of soybean cultivation and harvesting.
The system includes: i) Cutting machine with a capacity of 0.3-0.5 ha/h: the cutting length is 50-150 mm and the height of the stem residue after cutting is 50-100 mm; ii) Furrowing machine with a capacity of 0.3-0.5 ha/h: furrow width of 80-120 cm, depth of 20-30 cm, slit width of 20-30 cm; iii) Sowing machine combined with the fertilizer distributor which has a capacity of 0.3-0.5 ha/h: the number of sowing line is 4; iv) Weeding machine with a capacity of 0.3-0.5 ha/h; v) Soybean harvester which continuously cuts and collects soybeans in rows at a capacity of 0.3-0.4 ha/h, remnants <5%; vi) Soybean seed separator which has a yield of 0.5-1.0 ton/h, leaf clearing of 90-95%, and seed damage <5%. The results of production trials in many provinces have shown that the machine system is stable and suitable for production.
